A southeast Portland house was badly damaged by fire Tuesday morning. The house is located near SE 92nd and Flavel, west of I-205.
When the first fire crews arrived the flames had broken through the roof and were rising 50 feet into the air. Initially, they had to fight it from the outside.
Part of the roof collapsed and that prevented them from searching the entire house. They say no victims were found inside.
The house was boarded up and was supposed to be vacant.
Fire trucks had difficulty accessing the house, because of a narrow long driveway.
